SFK’s Team Building Activity of Scholars 2024

March 13, 2024

The Foundation successfully organized a one-day Team Building Activity for scholars on January 28, 2024, made possible through SFK's Fundraising Campaign/Project conducted from April to December 2023. The campaign garnered a total of Php 52,700.00, designated for the educational and health needs of scholars. A portion of the campaign funds was allocated for the team building activity, with specific objectives outlined as follows:

1. To aid our scholars in expressing and enhancing their mental and physical wellbeing through engaging outdoor activities and play.

2. To provide an outlet for our scholars to release negative energies and emotions stemming from stress, fears, anxiety, and uncertainties caused by challenging life circumstances.

3. To cultivate and reinforce camaraderie and connections among scholars through meaningful social and physical interactions.

4. To encourage teamwork, unity and solidarity among scholars through active participation and cooperation.

The one-day event unfolded at the Quezon Memorial Circle ground, with Thirty-Three (33) scholars and their parents in attendance. The theme, "Kalusugang Mental at Pisikal ng Kabataang SFK Scholars, Ating Pangalagaan at Ingatan Tungo sa Malusog na Buhay," set the tone for the day. Notable figures present included SFK President Atty. Renato Zosimo B. Evangelista, Mrs. Helen Evangelista, Mrs. Iluminada F. Quiñones, Board Treasurer, and staff members Mr. Christopher Buan and Mrs. Raquel J. Abaloyan. Guest Resource Person (RP) Ms. Sarah Delos Santos, former Program Director of SOS Children’s Villages, co-facilitated the event alongside Mrs. Abaloyan.

The team-building activities, geared towards promoting, strengthening, and nurturing scholars' mental and physical wellness, encompassed interactive and experiential play, exercises, focused-group discussions, and sharing sessions. Overall, the activity exceeded scholars' expectations, enabling them to express and process their feelings and emotions through social and physical interactions with their fellow scholars.
